Work programme

Eurofound’s work programme is the Agency’s core planning document, setting out the research, data collection and analysis it undertakes to support EU and national policymaking on living and working conditions, employment and industrial relations. A multiannual research programme defines longer-term priorities and Eurofound’s approach to addressing policy challenges arising from demographic, climate and technological change and global developments. Annual work programmes focus on priority issues for policymakers and social partners in a given year and ensure that our operational activities reflect emerging developments. Adopted by the Management Board, both programmes are agreed in advance to align with the evolving European policy agenda and socioeconomic context, ensuring Eurofound’s evidence-based research remains relevant and responsive to Europe’s new opportunities and challenges.

An annual yearbook on Living and working in Europe presents key research findings from the previous year and how they are embedded in the current policy context. This is accompanied by a consolidated annual activity report, describing Eurofound’s research, information and communication programmes, and policy achievements, as well as monitoring and evaluation information.
